University of London students visit Langford Solar Farm

Students from City St George’s, University of London visited an operational solar farm in the Bedfordshire this week, hosted by Rivington Energy, one of the UK’s leading renewable energy specialists.  Students and University staff enjoyed a guided tour and question and answer session at the 13MW ground mount Langford Solar Farm.

Michael Hughes, CEO at Rivington Energy said “This is the third year University of London students have visited Langford Solar Farm.  It is a wonderful opportunity for us, as an established renewables company, to invest and support the next generation of energy specialists.  Our team thoroughly enjoyed meeting the students, showing them around the solar farm and demonstrating how wildlife and flora flourish on site.”

Langford Solar Farm generates enough power for up to 5,000 homes per annum.  Rivington manages around 2,700 commercial and residential rooftop and ground mount assets across the UK.  The company are committed to identifying opportunities capable of delivering an environmental or social impact and in the last four years have secured over 1.25GW of consented renewable energy projects.
